5 Beauty Products Under $10!

I thought I would do this post as in Australia it is extremely hard to find very good quality beauty products under $10 as everything in Australia is roughly double the price of something overseas.

1) Savvy by DB Blush in 'Rose'
For those of you that don't Savvy is brand owned by Designer Brands Cosmetics which is sold at some pharmacy's and online. Savvy is extremely cheap and I picked this very pigmented blush up for $3. There packaging no longer looks like this as they have changed there display but I'm pretty sure the products the same.

2) Sportsgirl Light Up Lipgloss
This lipgloss is from Sportsgirl and I think it retails between $7 and $9 it comes in multiple shades and gives nice colour and shine to the lips. It also has a built in light that activates when you open it. I really like this lipgloss for convenience as well. Although it is on the sticky side its not too bad and I really like this lipgloss.

3) BYS Liquid Liner in 'Black'
BYS is a very cheap and sometimes dodgy brand but you can find some good products. I really like this liquid liner as the ends very fine and small perfect for creating a thin line. It's definitely smudge-proof but I have noticed that this fades within a few hours but for roughly $4 I really love this eyeliner.

4) Essence Stay with me Long Lasting Lipgloss in 'My Favorite Milkshake'
Now this product has been mentioned in a lot of my blog posts and I absolutely love it. It gives nice colour and shine and stays on your lips for a decent amount of time. It is also under $5. Be sure to read my previous posts if you want to read a more in depth summary.

5) Maybelline Cover Stick
This product retails for $10 but it is on sale everywhere I go! I got it for $5. It comes in a few shades manly the colour correcting ones (green, yellow ect) but it also comes in a skintone colour. I really like this to cover my acne and then with a regular concealer over the top it hides redness.

Essence Cosmetics Collection/Overview!

So if you haven't heard about this brand it has pretty much arrived in every Priceline and Target Store! Essence products are very affordable and amazing quality. The displays are quite small. There are often new limited edition products on display as well as there regular range. I love each of the products packaging and today's post is going to be an overview of there products.

 1) Essence Blossoms ect... Multi Colour Powder
The Blossoms ect line I believe was the first essence display they had. When all swirled together this powder is a light highlight with a nice sheen but not to shimmery. I remember paying roughly $6 for this.

2) Essence Silky Touch Blush '30 Secret it-girl'
The colour isn't really showing up but its a nice light pinky coral colour. It appears to have lot's of gold shimmers when swatched but on the cheeks it gives a really nice sheen and healthy colour. I really like the quality of the blushes.

3) Essence Stay with Me Long Lasting Lipgloss 'My favorite Milkshake'
This is a nice baby pink lipgloss (shade isn't showing right on camera) It gives nice colour and shine to your lips and isn't too sticky. As the name suggests it lasts a decent amount of time on your lips.

Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
This product can be used it many different ways. As a primer, concealer base and concealer. I have a full review in my previous blog post. I like the creamy thick consistency and covers any discolouration or veins on the lid. Although I prefer to use this is as a concealer base of eye brightner.

What's your favorite Essence Product!? Leave a comment below!

Battle of Eye Shadow Primers!

Today I will be comparing 3 different eyeshadow primers ranging in different price ranges. Urban Decay Primer Potion, Essence I love Stage Eyeshadow Base and Australis Eyeshadow Primer.

1) Australis Eyeshadow Primer
From Left to Right: Eyeshadow swatch with the primer, without and swatch of the primer
This primer retails for $12.95 which is I guess reasonable for Australian makeup. I don't really like the packaging as it is really hard to get the product out, you hardly get any out. Also its very unhygienic as it has a sponge applicator. It's very sheer so works well for all different skin tones. I have also noticed that its quite greasy but its a great primer and does its job by keeping eyeshadow on longer and making the shades of eyeshadow more vibrant.

Packaging: 2/5
Pros: Makes eyeshadow last longer, affordable
Cons: Packaging, the products a little greasy
Price: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

2) Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
Essence is a newer brand that has come out it Australia and started out in European countries. Essence is sold at Target and now most Pricelines are starting to stock it! This product I believe is limited edition but I got it not that long ago from Priceline as there is still a section for it on all the displays around. (I recommend getting Essence from priceline as the products aren't all used and opened.)
This like all the primers I'm comparing has a sponge applicator. The consistency is quite thick and the colour is opaque. It's a warm skin tone colour that can be used as a base, primer and a concealer. As the product is thick it is good for covering any discoloration from the eyelids. I haven't found this product to make my eyeshadow last much longer compared to my other primers but it does make the eyeshadow more vibrant, as you can see in the picture. I prefer to use this as a base for my concealer as it really brightens up the under eye area and makes my concealer last longer. This may not be good for all skin tones as the colour is quite fair. As you read above i'm not a fan of packaging but I will admit the product comes out a lot easier than the Australis one and you get plenty of it.
This retails for $4.95 and you get 4ml or 0.13 fl.oz

Packaging: 3/5
Pros: Great concealer base, price consistency, shade, versatile product
Cons: It does not make eyeshadow stay on as long as other primers but it does also depend on the eyeshadow you use
Price: 5/5
Overall: 3.5/5

3) Urban Decay Primer Potion
Now this product is probably the most well known and most hyped about eye shadow primer. I will be review the original one and it is small sized as this is the one that came with my naked palette. In the States this primer retails for $20 but Urban Decay is not sold in Australia so you can get if off beautybay.com for roughly $23 AUD Depending on the exchange rates. This is a UK based website that does free international shipping!

I have swatched the primer but is not showing up on the camera. This primer comes in other shades but this is the original. It is quite sheer and makes your eyeshadow very vibrant. It also has amazing staying power. This item is a bit of a splurge but if you want a top quality eyeshadow primer this is the one to get. The packaging is now a squeezy tube as there were way too many complaints on the genie bottle one(The one I have). This works for all skin tones and types. It also easy to blend and great for night outs.

Packaging (new, not one featured): 4.5/5
Pros: Makes Eyeshadows last a long time, vibrant
Cons: Price, not available in Australia
Price: 2/5 (Kinda expensive for an eyeshadow primer)
Overall: 4.5/5

So I hope these reviews helped and you enjoyed this blog post.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos and The Balm Cosmetics!?

Okay so today's post is going to be a bit of an update. Well if you don't already know the popular overseas product, 'Colour Tattoos by Maybelline, have finally be released in Australia. The only target i've been to stocks 5 and they are the 5 shades that people wouldn't usually go for but apparently in Priceline they stock the full range (I haven't seen them in my local Priceline yet). They retail for $12.95, which I must say isn't too bad compared to the price that we pay for most cosmetics. Also there are many sales going on, so even cheaper! I have not picked any up yet as I don't feel the need for more eyeshadows and plus none of the shades really excited me :/

Also, David Jones have started to stock The Balm cosmetics! And on a good note the prices aren't to bad for high end brand but they aren't that cheap either. I don't know much about which stores stock it but I guess you can always check your local store.

Products I've Hit Pan On!

Today's Post is going to be Products I've hit pan on. If you don't know what hit pan is, it is when you have used up most of a product that you can see the bottom of the packaging or the pan. This post is going to show you all some products that I use so much and will definitely be repurchasing in the future.

1) The Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer
I've had this concealer for a long time and I have been saving it and only using it often as it has been discontinued. Out of every concealer I have tried this has got to be my favorite as it's good for everything (blemishes, under-eye circles, ect).

2) Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder

I've only recently just hit pan on this product and you all probably know why. I use this pretty much everyday and this has been featured in so many blog posts (I even have one dedicated to a review of the product). This is my go to powder and I love it.

3) Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner

This was my first gel liner and it's probably the one I go to use. You can just see that I've slightly hit the bottom of the glass pot. I love this as its easy to apply, doesn't smudge and I believe this comes in purple too. It also came with a brush, perfect for a beginner.

Revlon Cream Shadows in 'Not Just Nudes'
These are really nice, pigmented cream shadows. I really like them as they are nice for everyday neutral eyes and bases for powder eyeshadows. I don't find these creasing on me and overall an amazing product.

Revlon Colourstay 24h Eyeshadow Quad 'Gems and Jewels'

This quad was my first ever eyeshadow quad. The shadows last for a pretty good amount of time without primer but I wouldn't say they would last 24 hours. I really like this quad for a purple smokey eye and most of the time the lilac pink is all I use.

 Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation
This is a mousse foundation from Maybelline. I really like it as for me it was easy to blend, gives medium coverage and is nice and compact from traveling. I would recommend this to anyone as its one of my favorite foundations. Some reviews have said if you have sensitive skin this foundation has apparently broken out some people but it was fine with my skin.

Travel Makeup Bag!

So since the school holidays have started for most people, I decided to do a What's in my Travel Makeup bag! As most people tend to go away during the holidays (myself included). I am only taking products that I plan to use the most. I'm also planning on buying cosmetics, so I haven't included that much. Please ignore that the first photo is on the side, I don't know how to change it.

This is my makeup bag I have decided to use for the trip. This by Models Prefer and I got it at priceline last year. It came in a set of three but missing the third little bag. I will only be showing you what is in the larger one.

So for eyeshadows I recommend taking a palette with the colours you'll most likely use. I'm taking my Urban Decay Naked Palette as it's got 12 neutral eyeshadows along with a brush.

For Foundation i've decided to take my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, as its compact and easy to apply. Also I will not have to worry about it spilling.

I'm taking two lip products one of which is my Korres lip butter in Pomegranate. Its a nice tinted lipbalm that is great for everyday.

Here I have two mascaras. One is my water-proof Maybelline The Falsies and the other one is my Bobbi Brown Lengthening Mascara.

I have chosen my treasured Australis Fresh and Flawless pressed powder. I have a review up on this blog if you want to know more about it. This is a two in one product. A powder and a foundation. So for the days I don't want to wear foundation i'll just use this and concealer. This can also be used for setting foundation.

And you can't forget your powder brush!

Because I don't own one of those Travalos I'm bringing my Britney Spears Roller Ball Perfume. I'm not taking the risk in bringing a huge bottle and it breaking.

My Last lip product is the Essence Stay With Me Long Lasting Lipgloss in the shade 'My Favorite Milkshake'. This is for the days when I want to add a little bit of shine to my lips!

My absolute favorite concealer for the under eye area is the Maybelline Fit Me. I use this everyday.

Blog Haul!

So I got three things and thought I would show you all. All items that I purchased are very affordable :)
