TAG: The Lip Product Addict!

I've seen this tag going around the beauty blog community and I love it! I wasn't tagged by anyone specifically but I thought it'd be a fun tag to do!

1) Favourite Balm/Treatment
EOS Lip balm
A friend recently bought this back from the US for me. These lip balms are honestly amazing and I see why they are so popular. They come in a variety of different scents and they are just so moisturising. If you can find these I recommend you try them because I love them!

2) Best Eye Catching Red
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Monte Carlo'
I don't own many red lip products as I don't tend to wear bold lip colours. I have a review on NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and I love how they're long wearing and vibrant. This product is perfect for a night out.

3) Best Luxury and Best Drugstore
Luxury: Estee Lauder Pure Colour Crystal Lipstick in 'Crystal Baby'
This is the perfect every day pink, nude lipstick. My lipstick is in the old packaging as I've had it for so long and its nearly gone!

Drugstore: Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick 'Totally Toffee'
This lipstick appears a dark brown but I promise you its not. This is the perfect everyday nude lipstick and its affordable! I find this really long wearing and moisturising on my lips which is great.

4) Best MAC Lipstick
MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick 'Gotta Dash'
This is the only MAC lipstick I own but I do love it! It is a pigmented bright coral lipstick that I find perfect for summer. MAC lipsticks have a really good formula and in the future I hope to try more out.

5) The Most Disappointing
Revlon Lip Butter 'Cotton Candy'
I love revlon lip butters but this shade just doesn't work for me. Cotton Candy is a very light pink with shimmers and when applied to the lips you get this extremely light pink with shimmer. Using this shade on its own washes me out but there are so many others that I love.

6) Liner - Yes or No
I don't use lipliner and I don't think I even own one! I don't find that I need it and I can get the look I want without using liner.

7) Best Gloss
Model Co Lipgloss
I actually got this lipgloss as a freebie with a magazine ages ago and unfortunately I can find the shade. This is a sheer, pink lipgloss with shimmers and I absolutely love it! It also has a nice scent which i'm not really open to scented products but this one smells amazing.

8) Something Extra
Benefits Cheek and Lip Tint 'Benetint'
I'm not sure if this classifies as a lip product but you can certainly use this on your lips. This is a cheek and lipstain from Benefit and is a rosey red colour. When first applied to your lips its very sheer but then build-able. As it is a stain its long wearing but can also be drying.

REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

Hey Everyone, Todays post is going to be a review of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream! I have two shades, one Antwerp and the other Monte Carlo. One is a bright red and the other a pink, both matte and such pigmented products. I got these at target for $12.95 AUD, which is not too bad for a lip product.

Monte Carlo (Left) and Antwerp (Right)

Antwerp
This is a light baby pink. That comes of bright and and pigmented. This shade is great for every day and one of the more 'natural' shades. All shades are quite bright.

Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo is a bright red matte colour. I love how this dries fast and substitutes for a red lipstick. I like this as opposed to a red lipstick as it has a lipgloss applicator so you can apply it neatly and easily.

OVERALL
Pros: long wearing, pigmented, price, variety of shade, dries matte and fast
Cons; Can be quite drying on the lips
Packaging: I like the applicator and the tube as you get the perfect amount of product to apply, so not too much or not too little. 5/5
Price: 3/5, In Australia the price is quite decent, but this product is sold overseas for nearly half the price
Overall: 4/5

Products I'm Currently Loving

So I haven't posted in ages, to be honest because I didn't really know what to post! So today i'm going to be sharing some products that I have been using recently because my makeup routine has become more consistant.

1) Physicians Formular Eye Booster 2 in 1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner and Serum
This is my favourite eyeliner and I use it everyday. This is a liquid liner in a pen form and it has a super thin point. I normally don't like these pen eyeliners because in the past the product hasn't come out but with this one I have had no issues. This liner makes it super easy to create a thin line but also winged liner. It also contains a lash serum but to be honest I don't think it has boosted my lashes in any way.
This product was roughly $20 which I know is not the cheapest but I definitely think its well worth the money.

Swatch of the eyeliner

2) MAC Bronzing Powder in 'Bronze'
I only got this product last month but since then I've used it nearly everyday. I prefer bronzer to blush and I use it to give a glow to my face as i'm quite pale, very rarely for contouring.
This bronzer has a shimmery finish and normally I don't buy any face products that has glitter in it but with this one you can barely notice it! You can barely notice the shimmer and it gives a nice glow to the face!

3) MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural 'Medium'
I use this powder to set my makeup everyday and it gives a nice and natural finish. This product is $47 in Australia which is quite expensive and i've nearly finished it. I think i've had this powder for about a year now and still got a few uses out of it. I have not yet found a powder comparable to this one and I don't think I could replace it.

4) Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter Concealer
This product surprised me as Garnier is more a skincare brand and not a makeup brand. I have tried the BB Cream and I liked it there were only 2 shades and neither suited me. I believe this concealer is in light and it works perfectly for under the eyes. It also has a metal roller ball applicator which for me, gives a cooling effect under the eyes. This concealer is pink toned which is great for cancelling out the blue veins and under tones under your eyes.

5) BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Palette
Many different brands do the 88 palettes and I manage to find so many uses for mine. In particular I use the lightest colour as a brow bone highlight, this month I hit pan on it. When I want a soft eyeliner look i'll use the matte black on a thin liner brush as eyeliner and often I use the neutrals to fill in my brows. I love this palette as it can be used in many different ways and they are really inexpensive.

Review: Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation!

Hello so today i'll be reviewing the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I'm always looking out for new foundations and this one is quite a hyped product and I think I've found my perfect foundation.

I picked this up for about $20 from Priceline, which I guess is a pretty decent Australian price for a foundation. I really like the texture of it and I find it really easy to apply. This product has SPF 15, which is great for these hot temperatures. I find this gives me light to medium coverage but it is quite buildable. This foundation gives a really nice radient glow and I just love the way it looks on my skin. From what I remember there weren't a whole heap of shade selections but this one that I chose fit me perfectly!

This foundation has a pump! I wish more foundations bottles had them.

Overall
Packaging: 5/5, I really like the packaging as its really easy to get product out of it!
Price: 4/5, Beauty prices in Australia is quite high so $20 is pretty decent.
Cons: The shade selection is quite limited, the shimmers may come off as oily depending on the skin type.
Pros: Affordable, packaging, gives nice radient glow.
Overall Rating: 4/5

I definetly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice everyday foundation. I found it great for me as it was buildable light to medium coverage and gave a nice natural glow to the face. This product has definetly become my holy grail foundation!

April Favourites!

April is drawing to an end and I haven't done many monthly favourite posts of my blog yet. So todays post is my favourite products of April!

1) Urban Decay Naked Palette: Sin
Sin is a really nice light champagne colour and I love it! Perfect for just a sweep of colour over the lids and it has amazing staying power! I got my Naked Palette from Beautybay.com

Clinique Cream Shaper for the Eyes: Brown
This eyeliner is brown so its not to intense but I just love the way it glides on and lasts majority of the day without smudging.

Maybelline Illegal Lengths Mascara
This is by far my favourite mascara out of the ones I've tried so far. As the name suggests it gives nice length and also separation.

Mac Mineralised Skin Finish Natural
I haven't been really wearing to much makeup these past holidays and when I do I just use concealer and this powder. I love it, It's actually nearly run out! :( I use this to set my concealer/foundation and I find it gives a nice, natural, light coverage.

So hopefully you like these favourites because I plan to do them most months! Feel free to leave any comments!

Ombre Hair

I love the look of ombre hair and the trend is quite popular. I've had my hair ombre twice one was proffesionally done the other time I did it myself for only $18! They both looked the same and personally I prefer to do it myself.

This is my DIY Ombre

I prefer to use a highlighting kit for my ombre rather than the typical blond dyes. They are made for highlighting dark hair where the other blonde dyes are for blondes. I have noticed many more different highlighting kits are coming out and the one I prefer is the Clairol Frost and Tip.
I didn't really follow a specific method, I just sectioned my hair into 4, applied the dye and wrapped them in foils. I left the dye on for roughly 20mins. Each hair type is different and I recommend checking the hair every so often.
I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to leave any comments!
